Maintenance Technician cleans, adjusts, and performs minor repairs
to water throughout the waterpark and auxiliary equipment by
performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be
assigned) Maintains dress and appearance in accordance with park
uniform and employee handbook regulations. Tests water – follows
rules for conducting testing. Has a working knowledge and
understanding of pool chemistry. Treats water and applies chemicals
(with proper licensing). Uses basic skills of carpentry, plumbing,
painting and light electrical. Has a knowledge of, and willingness
to practice, standard shop safety. Performs accutrol probe cleaning
and replacement. Safely and correctly uses all hand and power
tools. Performs troubleshooting techniques. Performs HVAC computer
operations. Performs Air Handler operations. Possesses, or obtains,
knowledge of all park equipment operations and locations. Works in
water and underwater conditions. Provides quality workmanship and
pride in the facility. Assists guests in a polite manner. Other
duties as assigned, which could be directly related, or un-related
to original position. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no
supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are

EXPERIENCE One year certification from college or technical school;
or three to six months related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two & three syllable words and
to recognize similarities & differences between words & between
series of numbers. Ability to print & speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent to draw and
interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common
sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or
oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few
concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The
physical demands described here are representative of those that

adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics
described here are representative of those an employee encounters

this job the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid
conditions and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to
toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to
moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise
level in the work environment is usually loud. RESORT CONDITIONS
This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are
varied, and in many cases include steep stairways, multilevel
buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes
wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the
base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be
reached by traveling via chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking
surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper
footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well
as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on
