LINE COOK Position SummaryFor over 35 years, North Hill, a
not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham,
Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people
65 by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care
services. The Line Cook will work with the culinary team to prepare
and present restaurant-quality entrées, and desserts utilizing
fresh, seasonal, and local products. Job Specific DutiesReasonable

knife skills as well as knowledge of professional cutleryPossess
strong sanitation and hygiene standardsWillingness to help others
when needed, always display a team player attitudeReviews menus and
recipes prior to preparation of foodInspects special diet orders to
assure that the correct diet is served to the residentPerforms
administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms,
reports, etc. and submit to the Executive Chef or Sous
ChefCoordinates dining service with other departments as
necessaryEnsures that all dining procedures are followed in
accordance with North Hill's policiesAssumes the authority,
responsibility and accountability of Line CookEnsures that menus
are maintained in accordance with established policies and
procedureAssists in establishing food service production line to
assure that meals are prepared on timeProcesses diet changes and
new diets as received from Executive Chef or Sous ChefPrepares food
in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established
policies and proceduresEnsures that safety regulations and
precautions are followed at all times by all personnelFollows
established Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies
and procedures when performing daily tasksFollows daily or
scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies
and proceduresEnsures that the department is maintained in a clean
and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies
are maintainedReports all hazardous conditions/equipment to the
Executive Chef or Sous Chef immediatelyProvides caring, thoughtful
and engaging service at all timesCommunicates any challenges,
complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisorMeets
department uniform, appearance and grooming requirementsComplies
with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding
health, safety or environmentSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNo
Required Skills and AbilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality
