the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Telemetry RN in Salem, Massachusetts, 01970! Job Title:

years License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS
Certification, Telemetry Certification, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates
must be able to read telemetry strips. Knowledge of cardiac drips
is necessary. Description: This position is situated in a medical
telemetry unit. The unit consists of 37 beds. Patients may be
admitted from various sources, including the emergency department.
Common treatments include Cardizem drips, Nitroglycerin drips,
Lasix drips, and Heparin drips. The patient population primarily
includes those with CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism,
and Pneumonia. Patients with alcohol-related issues and Dementia
with cardiac co-morbidities are also treated. Occasional surgical
patients may be admitted as well. Travelers are required to float
to applicable units when needed. The RN to patient ratio varies by
shift. Day and Evening shifts have a ratio of 1:4 with a maximum of
5 patients. The Night shift ratio is between 1:5 and 1:6. On
weekdays, the day shift includes a Charge RN without a patient
assignment. Familiarity with nursing care for patients post-cardiac
catheterization and pacemaker is beneficial but not mandatory. The
electronic medical record system used is EPIC. 5 Benefits of Travel
