Job Description:
Monitors and analyzes performance metrics and application logs
using software performance benchmarking tools including LoadRunner,
CloudTest, and JMeter. Identifies and triages performance defects,
using Tomcat, Node, and Apache. Primary Responsibilities: Analyzes information, and determines, recommends, and plans
computer software specifications on major projects and proposes
modifications and improvements based on user needs. Monitors and analyzes performance metrics and application
logs. Triages defects with development partners and project management
teams. Works with application architects to identify performance
bottlenecks and makes tuning recommendations. Works with application architects and development partners to
recommend tuning adjustments. Prepares and communicates performance results to Director level
management. Ensures timely escalation and resolutions of critical issues
using Continuous Integration tools. Develops software system testing and validation procedures,
programming, and documentation. Develops original and creative technical solutions to support
on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects involving
multiple platforms supporting a range of divisional
initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and execution of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
in support of corporate initiatives. Performs post-installation testing to identify and resolve
technical problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Develops technical modules in support of complex assignments and
multi-phase projects. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple simultaneous projects. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience performing software performance
engineering on high volume, online financial systems in a DevOps
environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
performing software performance engineering on high volume, online
financial systems in a DevOps environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing software performance
benchmarking of online financial Web applications and services, and
Mobile transactions in DevOps engineering practices, using Akamai
CloudTest with Jenkins; and performing software performance
engineering on high volume, online financial systems in a DevOps
environment, using performance benchmark tools -- Loadrunner,
CloudTest, and JMeter and Jenkins -- for orchestration. DE analyzing and monitoring hardware system performance metrics
-- CPU/memory, heap, and Garbage Collections (GC) -- across Apache,
NGINX, Java, WSO2, and Node.js software platforms; instrumenting
and monitoring operating systems Linux, Openstack, and Windows, --
using Linux console and monitoring tools; analyzing performance
across applications hosted with external Cloud solution providers--
Amazon Web Services (AWS) in ECS -- using AWS Console; and
identifying performance bottlenecks and providing corrective
recommendations to development teams, based on Dynatrace, Splunk,
Datadog, and IBM ISA output. DE performing antagonistic and chaos testing, using Gremlin and
Parasoft; and setting delays in Gremlin, Parasoft proxies, and
service virtualization tools. DE providing performance tool (CloudTest and Jenkins) trainings
and mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members;
reviewing results, and forecasting and managing work intake across
Scrum teams using Jira; and orchestrating the testing of
