Job Description:
Duties: Develop strategic growth and profitability plans for
product verticals for a wide variety of brands; work closely with
category management, operations, marketing, and engineering to develop
category dynamics knowledge; engage with internal business partners to
align priorities, develop strategic plans, and measure performance
improvements; identify opportunities to accelerate growth and build tools to
analyze and test new pricing strategies; conduct rigorous analytics to
assess data from tests and experiments for growth opportunities; train analysts
on dynamic pricing algorithm; teach analysts coding in SQL, Hive, Hadoop,
and Python; monitor operational and financial performance data; manage and
develop team of analysts; and work closely with engineering and operations
teams to optimize performance of dynamic pricing system. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics,
Finance, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
plus two years of experience developing algorithms for pricing system
development. One year of experience must include: Leading development of Big
Data Analytics solutions leveraging the latest data analysis
techniques (including machine learning) for large quantities of structured
and unstructured data; Leading executive-level communications with
multiple stakeholders regarding strategic pricing alignment and strategy
and project status updates, including business leaders, project managers,
engineering teams, data scientists, finance teams, and marketing leaders;
Developing business cases and financial strategy for product development,
including defining business goals, creating execution steps, and analyzing
business return; Reporting on business case analysis and revenue analysis
using Excel; Interfacing with cross-functional teams, engineers,
category mangers and buyers; Performing experimental design and hypothesis
testing including A/B testing and multivariate testing (MVT); Building predictive
models, using historical data to predict target markets, customer
segments, messaging and spending; Evaluating predictive models including
ROI analysis and back testing on historical data for evaluating future
predictions; Utilizing Vertica and Hive to process and analyze clickstream
data and understand customer behaviors to better inform marketing and
pricing strategy; and Identifying and accessing disparate data sources
to generate business insights, and building and maintaining algorithm
pricing systems to drive business decisions for $100 million and rapidly growing
business.
